Marriage On The Rocks

Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today to join paint and pavement in airside matrimony...
It was an arranged marriage. No one asked whether they thought they were good for each other. No one wondered if they had the proper chemistry to make it last.
"Do you, P-401, take this bucket of paint to be your traditionally specified coating, to bond, to cure and to not crack?"
Maybe it's time to look closer at who we're sticking with who.
In the design stages of an airfield project, type of pavement usually dictates with which coating material it should be married. During maintenance of existing markings, the primary concern, if any, is with material compatibility. Choosing wisely extends the life of the marriage. Choosing poorly strains the marriage and gets pictured in our newsletter:
I am probably not qualified to counsel you on conventional marriage (although I am well trained in proper toilet seat etiquette). That said, starting a relationship with Sightline may be attractive to you; maybe not attractive enough to make you think marriage, but we can at least be friends!
